Please note - I will be sending out a second news letter to remind everyone of my radio appearance on the 25th(Tuesday) of March.
Hello Everyone,
I hope you and your families are safe and well.
Over the last month, I have had the opportunities to meet with a lovely young lady named Cara. Cara has travelled throughout the world, studying the magical world of Fairies. She has been kind enough to write a couple of articles on the amazing world of fairies, which will be published in my website, a Western Australian Magazine and a well known English Fairy magazine. I have placed one of her articles in this month’s news letter and will be run the other in few months time.
With my 3 children back at school I now have been focusing my attention on organising my seminar and workshop which will be held at the end of March and start of April. On top of all of that, over the
last week I have been working on a murder case of a young girl in the USA which has been a very interesting experience to say the least.

Fairies.
What are faeries? By Faerie Cara
When the word faerie is mentioned it is only fair to expect the images of smiling child-like faeries wearing flower petal skirts to come into your mind. In recent centuries faerie folklore and imagery has been demoralised as merely children’s ‘fairytales’ making the belief in faeries a childish thing to do. Faeries are very much a reality and have been honoured and respected as goddesses and gods in cultures
around the world for thousands of years. They have been known by many different names and in many different forms but they’ve always been associated as the spirits of nature.
Faeries are the spirit essence of nature, connected to the minerals that make up the soil and our own physical selves, and the earth’s clay that created rocks and formed mountains. They are within the
bodies of water that flows across our planet with oceanic tides, rains from the sky, sits quietly in the lakes and dances on our doorsteps as delicate snow. They are the soul nature within trees, desert cacti
and the communities of shrubs and mosses filling the land masses. Elemental nature has its own intelligence and consciousness. These nature spirits sprouted from the same pulse that we came from in an almighty explosion of new wondrous life. They developed as we did; they made mistakes and grew from them, they worked at creation,
at knowing and understanding the essence of all life.
The most common eye brow raiser I come across when connecting faeries to people isn’t so much the magic and wonder of faerie itself but the fact that I’ve spelt faerie wrong. There are many dialects and ways to spell faerie. To name a few would be of fairy, fae, faery, devas, fey, the shining people, the good people, the green children etc. There are many other names used by ancient civilizations around the world but that just becomes even more complicated. The word commonly used word in the English language today is ‘fairy’ which is an English adaptation of the word and I personally associate with pastel, tutu wearing flower fairies that we describe for children’s bedtime stories. The word ‘faerie’ invokes a much deeper sense of the word, describing all the forms of faeries found in nature and veiled from our physical realm of living.
Faeries exist on a different energy vibration frequency to our world, co-existing along side us on a parallel consciousness. Existing on a higher vibration to our own we generally don’t see them in our everyday lives, especially not in the fast pace life of our modern society. We are often too caught in the process of thought and mundane stuff of human living to be aware of the spirit realms. They are spirits of light, unlike the angelic realms who are spirits of universal light, faeries are the earth’s light energies. Faeries can be found working on their own in the silent depths of the earth or as a community of busy bustling faerie activity. They live in their own social structure which is rich in tradition, honour and respect.
Faeries have a hierarchy of dimensions, again similar to the angelic realm, from the solitary faeries that oversee entire forests, lakes, oceans or land mass. Right down to the faeries that reside within a certain rock, tree or blade of grass. This is the energy you feel when you connect to a certain tree or crystal; it is this faerie energy that resinates with yours and guides you to recognise that there’s a mystical life form within everything in nature.
There are many forms or non-forming faeries. The word ‘Faerie’ itself is a gigantic mushroom for which they all stand under; from pixies to nymphs, devas, gnomes, dryads, unicorns, mermaids, dwarfs, leprechauns, salamanders, elves, sylphs and will-o-wisps. They are fundamentally the elementals of the world, living with the spirit vibration of earth, air, fire and water.
There are some places where the veils between our world and the world of faerie are thinned such as Ireland where the faeries are still respected. The folklore is still being passed down the generations through storytelling, songs and poetry. Faeries are not part of children’s stories. Instead they make up history, enriching the culture and a bond with the land. By holding faith in faeries the Irish have kept the veils between the worlds thinned and interaction with the faeries continues to be made. Faeries exist everywhere around the world however over time some have been forgotten or the land cleared to a level of low energy, making them fade deeper into their world.
Seeing a faerie is usually extremely exciting as you know that you’ve opened yourself up to the realms of faerie awareness in that one single moment, however it’s rarely what you would expect to see. Modern fairytales have given us a false faerie sense for them to be pink, fluffy and covered in sequins. Faeries are just like nature with the twists, gnarls and speechless beauty that can never quite be captured on camera. Some are seen as nothing more than a dancing light, some take on the resemblance of an animal or half an animal, some have wings, some resemble the curves of a tree, some are tall and slender, some small and some are queens adorned in flowing dresses and crowns of stars.
As faeries are energetic beings they do tend to mimic our perception of them, so don’t be surprised if you come across a faerie just like one from your favourite fairytale. They find this imagery amusing and delight in showing themselves in this way. However they’re ready to quickly change and trick you with alternating identities. This visual interpretation of our thoughts also works in reverse as our negative thought patterns have also shaped the image of certain faeries who were once what we would call beautiful but over time have worn down to something quite frightening, purely by our negative energy. Some have even taken on the form of the things we fear in the night that hide in our cupboards, at the bottom of the staircase and under our beds. It’s your own negative thoughts that attracts and shapes this type of faerie. By becoming aware of your thought patterns you can stop the frightening faeries from making a nuisance in your life, instead attracting the love and light of the healing, nurturing and playful faeries. These frightening faeries are bringing you great lessons but it often takes greater courage to face them.
Faeries are unpredictable beings with intentions of worldly growth. They take on their duties with pride, a sense of honour and with a sense of humour. They are pure earth energy, if they are happy then they will shine with the brightness of a sunflower and if they are offended then they will be sharp and angry like the prick of a black thorn bush. They’re driven by the primal energy of the planet which is that of love, growth and regeneration. The place in our minds that we find laughter and creation is a meeting ground that faeries truly exist. To find them you must journey towards your spirit self and find what inspires you, what makes you shine and what inspires your own inner flame to dance in this lifetime. Faeries will help you to reach them by awakening your soul to your hearts yearning, one day you will simply be aware that they have been there all along.
